Savage Gentleman

"The Jack" Backpack

Canvas and Leather Backpack

This do-it-all, versatile pack is aptly named after Ernest's oldest son, Jack Hemingway, who himself was a jack of all trades.

Made from ultra durable, chromium-tanned water buffalo leather and canvas, this backpack is equally at home on the subway, in the wild, or on the range.

We've put this pack through the wringer over the last two years to make sure it can stand up to any task a Savage Gentleman can pursue. We've donned The Jack to haul expensive camera gear, as a daily commuter bag to protect our laptops and lunch, and out into the wild to support our sense of adventure.

It features a flat open construction that allows you to easily access all its contents at once. The removable velcro padded partitions allow you to configure and re-configure your bag to suit your individual needs.

The Jack features an internal padded sleeve that accommodates a 16" Macbook Pro for the trip to the office, or a level III soft armor plate if your commute tends to be a little more treacherous.

This bag is a must have for any photographer, shooter, or commuter who appreciates style, quality, and convenience.

  • Fast open/close two-way zipper design
  • Internal padded laptop compartment (fits 16" laptop)
  • 2 external pockets
  • 4 padded inserts to configure to your needs
  • Antique brass zipper pulls

Savage Jack

To date, the Jack backpack, this sturdy leather wonder, has been tremendous for me. I am a third shift, in-home, pediatric nurse. I bought it as a work bag. It has performed astonishingly well, and I push this thing.. Absolutely totally completely recommend the living shit out of this bag. And I mean that in the most positive way possible, for shit that actually has life… (cue laughtrack). Really though, if you are on-the-fence, it is worthy. In my experienced opinion. Peace & grace.

Extremely nice!

I bought this as a gift for my son-in-law. It is the most masculine backpack I have ever seen! It's extremely well-made, durable, and versatile, which makes it a perfect gift.
