Cotton kills. Almost everybody knows the old outdoor cliché. Cotton doesn't insulate when wet. Ask any sheep - wool keeps you warm even when you're wet and miserable.
Having a wool blanket in the car for emergencies, picnics, tailgating is a must. I usually have a couple of old army blankets around for exactly that. Problem is, those blankets are itchy, stiff, and bulky. The Savage Gentleman Wool Blanket is not bulky. It's big enough to wrap my 6'1" 300 pound bulk yet It rolls up small and snaps together with well-crafted leather straps for easy storage in trunk, rucksack, or closet. It's lighter weight than the ol' horse blankets and the 80/20 wool/synthetic blend keeps the itchiness down.
The Savage Gentleman Wool Blanket combined with proper layers will keep you toasty in the woods or backyard. Add a fire, some rudimentary shelter and maybe a flask of bourbon and you may very well be weather-proof.
Excellent work Gentlemen.
